MarkupMarvel is opening 2 MERN Stack Developer Intern positions for people who’ve studied Next.js, React, Node.js, and MongoDB but haven’t yet applied these skills on a real production project. This is a 6-month unpaid internship focused on giving you genuine full-stack experience — working alongside our development team on actual client work using Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

What You’ll Do

• Build features across the full stack — Next.js frontend, Node.js backend, MongoDB or MySQL database
• Write TypeScript code following our team’s standards and conventions
• Style interfaces using Tailwind CSS to match Figma designs
• Work on real API endpoints and data integrations for client projects
• Debug and troubleshoot issues on live development branches
• Participate in code reviews to learn production-level coding standards

Requirement

• Completed coursework or self-study in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
• Basic understanding of Next.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with either MongoDB or MySQL
• Basic understanding of Tailwind CSS or utility-first styling
• Willingness to learn real-world coding standards and take direction from senior developers

Nice to Have

• A personal or academic project built using the MERN stack
• Basic Git/GitHub experience
• Understanding of REST or GraphQL APIs
